Hazardous Beasties Safety Training

Worried about the "hazardous beasties" in your backyard and beyond?  Learn to identify and avoid poison ivy, venomous snakes, black widow spiders, and other potentially hazardous plants and animals in the Houston area.  See some of Armand Bayou Nature Center's live reptiles up close, and discover how to safely work alongside nature.

Audience: This class is intended for adults, including teachers and those who work outdoors.  Upon completion of the safety training, participants will receive a certificate.

Scheduling: Classes may be scheduled for weekdays Monday-Friday between 9:30am and 3:00pm.  Each program is 2 hours long.

Fee: $250.00

Payment: A deposit of at least 50% of the fee is due three weeks prior to the event. Full payment is due on the day of the program. Please make checks payable to Armand Bayou Nature Center. Credit and debit card payments can be taken over the phone.

Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations must be made at least 2 week in advance to receive refunds.  A $25 processing fee will be applied.
