Kids EcoPrograms

Introduce your child to the natural world in the beautiful outdoor setting of Armand Bayou Nature Center!

Our EcoTots, EcoKids, EcoSchoolers, EcoAdventures and EcoTeens programs are led by biologists, certified teachers and trained naturalists. Each week we explore, create art, meet animals and learn about STEM related topics.

Pick the topic of your choice or sign up for several weeks at a time. Online Registration required, no Walk-Ins. Programs held rain or shine.

 

EcoTots

Ages 18 months to 3 years with accompanying adult.

Fridays from 9:30-11am

EcoKids

Drop-off program is for children 3 to 6 years old who are fully potty trained.

Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30-11:30am; Topics are different each day. Wednesdays are bilingual and follow the EcoTots schedule.

Fees: Members with Family Membership or above $14/program; Non Members $16/program

EcoSchoolers

Drop-off program is for children ages 7-10

Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30-11:30am; Topics are the same on Wednesdays and Fridays of the same week

Fees: Members with Family Membership or above $16/program; Non Members $19/program

Drop-off program is for children ages 11-14

Wednesdays 9:30-11:30am

Drop-off program is for teens ages 14-18

Wednesdays 9:30-11:30am

Fees: Members with Family Membership or above $18/program; Non Members $21/program

 

Registration:

  • Payment is required at the time of reservation.

  • Completed Online Registration required! To ensure adequate supplies and staff for the program, No Walk-Ins accepted.

  • You will receive a confirmation letter via email once we have received your registration.

  • Please bring a Snack, Refillable Water Bottle, closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather.

  • If you have any questions about the EcoPrograms, please call 713-274-2668/2667

Cancellations: 

  • Payment is non-refundable unless the program is cancelled by Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) staff.

  • If ABNC cancels for any reason, you will be given the option of applying the fees to another program or a refund.

  • Notify us before 9:00 AM (CT) the day of the program if your child is unable to attend. Contact  Heather at  (713) 274-2667 or heather@abnc.org, or Rebekah at (713) 274-2668 or rebekah@abnc.org.

  • If your child is dismissed from the program, NO refund will be given.

  • Participants will be outside for the majority of the event; however, indoor areas are available in case of extreme weather conditions.
